Thanks / Gracias

Simplemente hago esta entrada para agradecer a todos los que seguís el blog. Ayer hubo mas de 1.500 páginas vistas por 400 visitas únicas, algo totalmente impensable cuando comencé a publicar hace ya dos años.
Gracias a ésto sigo dibujando de forma continuada, por el puro placer de seguir publicando además de recibir algunos encargos vía blog.

I just make this post to thank all those who follow this blog. Yesterday there were over 1,500 page views by 400 unique visitors, something totally unthinkable when I started publishing two years ago.
Because of their visits, I can draw almost every day in order to continue to publish regularly.

woman eyes / ojos de mujer

Siempre tengo algún dibujo de ojos inacabados. Mientras elijo la empuñadura de la espada del dibujo que estoy haciendo estos días y comienzo un par de encargos y varios retratos, siempre encuentro un hueco para dibujar unos ojos, aunque sean extraños, como estos.

I always have some unfinished drawing eyes. While I choose the hilt of the sword of the drawing I'm working on these days and start a couple of orders and several portraits, I always find a timee to draw eyes, even strangers, like these.

El dibujo va avanzando. Me falta mejorar la posición de la mano antes de empezar a sombrearla.

The drawing is progressing. I need to improve the position of the hand before starting to shade.

Este es el dibujo en el que estoy trabajando ahora (junto a otros cuatro o cinco mas).
Tenía la idea de dibujar una mujer con una katana en donde solo se vieran los ojos la espada y la mano sujetándola. No se si al final dejaré la boca o haré el dibujo mas apaisado todavía.


This is the drawing I'm working on now (with four or five more.)
I had the idea to draw a woman with a katana but only wanted to show the eyes, the sword and the hand holding it. I'm not sure if I'm going to draw the mouth or I'm going to cut it.

Dibujo a lápiz en hoja de 45x33cms aunque ahora que lo he acabado quizá debería haber utilizado una hoja mayor. Voy a tener que ir cambiando porque he visto que llevo algunos dibujos en donde me estoy centrando mucho en el pelo. Supongo que son etapas.

Pencil drawing made on a 45x33cms paper sheet though now that I finished it, maybe I should have used a larger sheet. I'll have to look for differents ideas because I´m focusing a lot on hair. I suppose they are stages.

Aquí dejo otra prueba de dibujo sobre tabla. Son poco mas que bocetos pero me gusta como queda. Este me ha costado un par de horas.

Here it is another drawing on a wooden board. Are little more than sketches, but I like the way it is. It takes me a couple of hours.

Me gusta mucho dibujar estas miradas. Sobre todo intento darle varios tonos al iris con zonas mas claras y mas oscuras. No es el primero que hago y no será el último.

I love to draw this kind of look. Above all try to give different tones to the iris with light areas and darker. Not the first look I do and won't be the last.

ojos cerrados / eyes closed

Vuelvo otra vez a los fuertes contrastes. Mucha sombra y mucha zona oscura resaltando sobre el fondo blanco.

I'm again drawing strong contrasts. Lots of shade and lots of dark area highlighting against the white background.

new shop/ nueva tienda

Por fin he abierto una pequeña tienda. Por ahora está un poco vacía aunque poco a poco la iré llenado. Quiero hacer un apartado para retratos a lápiz, standard o personalizados ( con trajes de época o versión zombie), y alguna cosa mas aunque por ahora iré poco a poco.

I have finally opened a small shop. For now it is a bit empty but I will go gradually filled. I want to make a section of pencil portraits, standard or custom (in antique costume or zombie version). By now I'm going step by step
